National Sport Federation of Trynta
Trynta is a traditional fighting style from the Republic of Moldova. It is a popular sport practiced for centuries, especially in rural areas. The fights take place on grass or a special mat and the aim is to throw the opponent to the ground using various techniques and maneuvers. It is more than just a sport; it is an important part of Moldovan culture and traditions.
Trynta has deep roots in Moldovan history and has been practiced for centuries. Although it is difficult to pin down exactly when it was first documented, it is believed to have very ancient origins, possibly as far back as medieval times. Traditions of folk wrestling have been passed down from generation to generation and are an integral part of local festivals and celebrations.
The National Trynta Federation of Moldova was officially founded in 2000 by Serghei Busuioc. Of course, this hobby has a much older history, as almost in all towns and villages of Moldova on the feast of the feast of the feast of the patron saint, national trynta competitions have been organized since time immemorial: the youngest compete for the trophies of the live rabbit and the live rooster, and the experienced fighters compete for the live ram. It is worth mentioning that the Federation's main goal is to popularize the event not only nationally but also internationally.
A new leadership of the National Sport Federation of Trynta was elected on August 6, 2024 at the General Assembly of the forum. Anatolie Moldovan jr, a world and European champion in various genres of wrestling, was elected as president by anonymous ballot. Serghei Busuioc was appointed honorary president of the forum, while Maxim Gîlcă was elected as secretary general of the Federation. And on October 17, Alexei Postolachi was elected first vice president, while Mihail Sava (in charge of the freestyle wrestling ), Anatolie Tudor Moldovan sr. (Greco-Roman wrestling) and Angela Polevaia-Secăreanu (sambo and judo) were elected vice-presidents.
